This course covers basic motor vehicle maintenance for internal combustion engine powered vehicles. The course is open to anyone (over the age of 16) who is interested – you do not need to be male or a member of the Shed. Topics covered include: The owner’s manual. Fuel. What’s under the bonnet. Windscreen washers and windscreen wipers. Checking the engine coolant level. Checking the engine oil level. Checking the brake/clutch fluid level. The battery. Wheels and tyres. Jacking the vehicle (this will be demonstrated during the course). Driving at night. Personal safety. What to do if you are involved in a vehicle accident. Attendees should wear clothing appropriate to the tasks being covered, e.g. covered shoes, no loose or dangling clothing – including scarves, etc. The fee includes morning tea. Mosman Park Men’s Shed Inc (Shed) reserves the right to take photographs at any time (including members and visitors), both inside the Shed boundaries and at external events organised by the Shed.  Such photographs will remain the property of the Shed and may be used for promotional purposes, both wholly and partially, in the future. Wherever possible the Shed will not individually identify persons portrayed in these photos unless they are to be used for a specific purpose that is mutually agreed.

SHEDSong will be running again this semester at the regular time slot of 10:30 to 11:45 on Tuesday mornings - Semester 2, 2026, commences on 21 April. Jayson Fish will be directing these sessions. This booking/payment system has been set up for Non Shed Members ($10.00/week), to enable access to tickets for these sessions on a “11 week term" basis ($110.00 total). The group enjoys a great vibe, socialising and better health while you are able to discover that you really can sing!! New singers/shouters will be made very welcome.
