As the day also represents the 10th anniversary of the official Shed opening it is hoped that something a little different can also be arranged! The event commences at 6pm and dinner will be served at 7pm, and..... the dinner is FREE ... but you have to pay for your drinks of course! SHEDSong at Mosman Park Men's Shed is continuing its popular programme, largely under the guidance of Matt and Tim from SongFest together with other workshops conducted by experts such as Kavisha Mazzela, renowned singer/songwriter and choir director. The group continues to mature and is looking at official performances! Matt and Tim will continue a further semester of weekly sessions on Tuesday mornings, commencing on the 18th October (10:30 to 12:00). Male "Non" Shed Members are welcome to join the SHEDSong group if they think that they might enjoy exercising their "noise"! This booking/payment system has been set up for Non Shed Members ($10.00/week) including one free week, to enable access to tickets for the sessions on a “9 week term basis”. This is a chance for non-Shed Members (of any sex) to learn the basics about tools and home maintenance, etc. The course will run over three consecutive Friday afternoons from August 19th, 2022 plus September 2nd, timed from1pm to 4pm, and will broadly encompass the following subjects (others might be included on request): Basic description of "handyman" tools & their uses including hands-on experience. Fillers, Paintwork repairs, Doors & Hinges, Locks, Hanging Paintings, Plumbing, Roof & Guttering, Windows, Basic Reticulation. Simple Electrical queries; Tiling, Wood Finishes. The cost of the course is $75.00 per person which includes afternoon tea on each of the three afternoons and covers any materials used. You can book for a friend but must make a separate booking for each attendee. NB: Payment is by Credit Card via Stripe - no card payment details are held by MPMS. Coming to Mosman Park on Sunday 3rd April 2022, from 09:00 to 12:30 Another chance (before our November event) to visit some of your favourite craft makers stalls and see what they have in mind for Easter gifts this year.  This mini-market is limited in size and opening but we are welcoming our visitors free of charge. The Shed Cafe will be open for morning teas, coffee and nibbles. We will also be running the Mosman Park Men's Shed, Ukraine Emergency Appeal during the day which, when tallied up, will be forwarded via the Red Cross, Ukraine Crisis Appeal to those in need. Plus, we will be available to help you with the sale of Shed-made wooden toys and other items plus Shed propagated plants. This Market, run & established by Mosman Park Men's Shed, both as a fund-raising and as a community event, enables Western Australian craft makers to exhibit their wares for sale in a Market ideally timed for the Christmas buying season. Local Community & Sporting Groups are also encouraged to take part.
